How this calculation works
The calculation takes your monthly rent, converts it to a daily rate (monthly rent divided by 30.44 days, the average days per month), then multiplies it by the number of vacant days you enter. This is a simple prorated estimate, not a precise accounting calculation, but it gives a useful order of magnitude for judging how urgent it is to get a unit rented again.
